I've Got A Thing For You is an unidentified rock song. The singer also seems to have a strong accent of likely USA, for example, he pronounces "thing" as "thang" in the song.
Although the first OP never provided the song's origin, it is most likely originating from the 1986 live cassette by "The What", which also the second OP had.

On October 11th, 2011, Soundcloud user rickstilwell1 posted a song for identification, he did not give any information about where he got it from.
On December 15th, 2021, user RickyRockstarTNS uploaded the song, saying he got it from a live cassette his friends' band, "The Want", recorded in May 1986 at PJ's Tavern. He also says Kelly Kristjanson is pretty sure he got the recordings from the singer, but can't remember his name.
Then on August 15th, 2024, YouTube user marksaw reuploaded the song, followed by s2H and AlianTheObscure on April 9th and 14th, 2025.
