"I’ll Keep (Mix 1)/I'll Keep (Mix 2)", (formerly known as "P.A.R.T.Y. (Unknown Remix)", "PARTY '96 (Unknown Remix)" or "Unknown Dance Song B") are a now two identifed songs originally thought to be a remix of P.A.R.T.Y or Party 96' by Movin' Melodies that were uploaded as a single snippet to WatZatSong on December 19th, 2023 by pilo.

History[]

On January 21, 2013, YouTube user @supernovab17 uploaded a snippet of the song on YouTube.

On December 19, 2023, pilo uploaded a snippet of the song on WatZatSong coupled with a text saying it was a dance track from the 1990s. One user, 0Marko, suggested it could be one of the remixes of the "P.A.R.T.Y." track by the Movin' Melodies, due to its similar lyrics.

On June 28, 2024, the snippet was reposted by WatZatSong user, Ziro, after a user winimu incorrectly misattributed pilo's original snippet with the original "P.A.R.T.Y." mix.

On July 20th, 2024, the song was correctly identifed as "I’ll Keep" by King-Size from 1997, identified by TheTVExplorer, however the version he uploaded was a incomplete mix from a trance compilation, the same day discord user Murphy found the 6:11 Mix 1 on kill-audio.ru. However, it was later revealed that the song has a Mix 2, which matches pilo's original snippet as well as Mix 1. This means that it is unknown which of the two Mixes is the actual song that pilo recorded.

Leads and theories[]

While the track was first suggested to be a remix of "P.A.R.T.Y." by the Movin' Melodies, it has also been theorized that the song could also be from the "African Sanctus" by the Phuture Assasins, since the "P.A.R.T.Y." track sampled from it. This lead was first proposed by Reddit user, u/flame_will_consume on July 9, 2024.[1]

Presumed lyrics[]

The lyrics are the same for both Mixes. Originally partially sampled from the "African Sanctus" by Phuture Assassins/"P.A.R.T.Y" by Movin' Melodies:

What does it profit a man who gave the whole world and suffered the loss of his own soul?

[Go right!] x10

What does it profit a man who gave the whole world and suffered the loss of his own soul?
Aha!

[???]

I'll Keep!

[Go right!] x4

Trivia[]

  • It is unknown which of the two Mixes is the actual song that pilo recorded.
    • The situation is similar with another pilo song, "Drive Me". It is still unknown which version of the song they recorded.
  • It is not yet known which of the two songs was used as a sample for these two Mixes.
    • Most likely this is "P.A.R.T.Y", since this song was more popular than "African Sanctus".
