“Hey I’m Out” is an unidentified disco song from the 1980s.

On May 19th, 2006, user Alex posted the 12 second snippet to Spirit of Radio. He said it came from the background of a disco scene of a German TV program from the 1980s. No other information was provided.[1]
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Funado, Q, No Background, Ofrix, TomLostwave, LostwaveTT, AlianTheObscure, Aero, LostwaveFinder, Jcorsen, Murphy, and multiple others, amassing over 65k views.
A narrator or character in the show says "auch" (the German word for also) at the end of the snippet, prompting English-speaking searchers to believe that the song came from an alcohol commercial.[2][3]
On May 24th, 2024, a channel for the song was created in the FMM Discord server after winning a channel poll, along with Damn Munich, Damenwahl, Fixation, I Felt So Silly, I Know, One More Time, Shadows, and Waiting For The Countdown.
The FMM channel was originally in the "Other Unknown Songs (1)" category, but was deomoted to the "Other Unknown Songs (2)" category on October 20th, 2025, due to unknown songs Bitter Tears and You Owe Me Satisfaction being promoted.
