Search History[]

The song was first posted to YouTube on June 27th, 2023, by Lyon Funk community member Brahim. He didn’t provide any information about the song, only saying “OBSCURE FUNK RARE SYNTH FEMAL” and “FUNK PRIVATE RARE MODERN SOUL BOOGIE SYNTH FEMAL A VENDRE FAIRE OFRE”.

On February 4th, 2021, Brahim posted a slightly longer snippet of the song to YouTube, titling it “KILLER CRAZY FUNK 01”, and saying it was from the 1980s. The vinyl could be seem in the video, and the label couldn’t be properly made out, but it was a 12” record and had a pinkish-red label.

On November 26th, 2024, user Ziro/Q reposted the song to WatZatSong, asking who made it. Only two days later, user Kurty identified the song as Heart Throb by Protege after finding audio of it on CloudFront.net. As of now, the full song isn’t available, but there are multiple copies currently being sold.

Lyrics[]

I’ve been knowing bout you
For such a long long time
I and I betcha didn’t even know
That you blew my mind

And lately when you come around (come on down)
I try to run and hide, oh I hide
But I can’t hold it back anymore
It’s what I feel inside

You make my heart,
Throb
Heart, trob
You make my heart-
