Have Yourself a Technicolor Day is a unknown song. It was first included in the British children's show Emu's Pink Windmill Show. It was uploaded to YouTube by a user named VideotapeFTW and was included in ScifiRenegade Productions' video "The Interesting World of Mysterious Songs". It is mostly considered to be a original song written by Rod Hull himself, however Emu's Pink Windmill Show is known for mostly covering songs. Which led people to believe the song may be much older.

History[]

Have Yourself a Technicolor Day was first sung on the British children's show "Emu's Pink Windmill Show" in 1986. Rod Hull, a British performer and comedian sung the song and in 2017 Youtuber VideoTapeFTW uploaded the clip, and while he was able to identify most of the songs being covered in the series. Have Yourself a Technicolor Day was the only one not identified.

Emu's Pink Windmill Show is known for covering songs from theaters and other forms of Media, it's possible HYATD was a song from a Broadway musical. But this hasn't been confirmed, some theories state it could be a Disney song but this is likely not the case.

Rod Hull is often considered the possible Artist despite the show mostly covering songs.
