Lyrics
Fresh and green stand the fields of Bretagne
Early morning the sun coming up
And the grapes they are heavy with wine
And the people they play all day
Oh, in my heart is a still day
Oh Lord, how the sun does shine
And the voices will ring through the valley
Flowing over the harps of Bretagne
Flowing over the harps of Bretagne
The smell of bread in the new mornin' air
The sound of life in a time of rejoicing
Is the sound of the harp and the prayer
Oh, it is here it's the new day
Oh Lord, see the sun does shine
And the voices will ring through the valley
Flowing over the harps of Bretagne
Flowing over the harps of Bretagne
Boss Brothers
Boss Brothers was a short lived pop rock band from Manchester, UK. They formed in 1978.
The band consisted of Steve Whalley (vocals, guitar), Ian Wilson (producer), Jon Ash (piano, synths, backing vocals), Mike Smith (drums, percussion-not to be confused with Evolver lead singer) and Jon Levenson (bass, guitar).
In 1980, they released the singles Harps of Bretagne (this song), The Candle and Where Are You Going.
Later that year, they released their first and only album, Stalling For Time, which included all of the songs from their singles.
This song also appeared on the compilation album Radio San Cristóbal Presenta "Las Favoritas de la Iguana", compiled by Radio San Cristóbal, a radio station from Venezuela.
Sometime after, they disbanded.
