Go For The Beer is an unidentified hard-rock song and the fourth track off of the Wings - Wild Wonders outfake album. It was supposedly recorded in 1978 and it has very low quality.

80s-90s
Sometime around 1987, bootleggers circulated the song on audio tapes, mislabeling it as a Paul McCartney & Wings studio outtake.[1]This song is the fourth track on the tape.
This lead to the song being featured in two separate newsletters devoted to unofficial Beatles recordings, Scott Belmerfeatured it in 1987, and L.R.E. King subsequently included it in another newsletter in 1989 as a direct response to Scott Belmer's review of the song.
Around 1998, Randwolf launched a website called "THE BEATLES TAPES". The purpose of the site was to catalog and debunk recordings of bootleg and unreleased Beatles material. He categorized Wild Wonders as an outfake, noting that it was featured in Belmo's Beatleg newsletter in 1987 and in Fixing A Hole by L.R.E. King in 1989.
The song also featured on a different outfake audio tape called "Paul McCartney Bloody Tracks" and was a slowed version of the Wild Wonders cut. It was labeled as being from 1976 instead of 1978.
2010s-2020s
On January 14th, 2012, Randwolf made a post titled "beatlestapes" on their blog. In the post, he discussed about the numerous outfakes that were misattributed material to The Beatles. Go For The Beer was mentioned twice in the blog post.
On July 12th, 2018, YouTube user BeatlesBootlegs9 uploaded the whole Wild Wonders album onto their channel, including Go For The Beer.
On March 11th, 2023, YouTube user MasonW' started a thread in the Music Corner section on the Steve Hoffman Forum about the outfake album. The thread was titled "Help me and the folks on r/Lostwave solve a 36 year mystery concerning some Wings outfakes".
In the thread, they described the quirks of the song, highlighting both the pros and cons. They said that Go For The Beer had one of the best audio dynamics, including the drums, electric guitar and bass riff between the chorus. The same user noted that the song was reminiscent of the oi! genre.
The artists behind the four identified songs from the tape are all from Long Island, New York. And according to one of them, their songs were submitted to various radio contests in the late '70s, such as WBAB 102.3's Homegrown Hour show and WALK's radio show's, which was dedicated to showcasing local talent. These shows are likely the source from which bootleggers stole the song.
Presumed lyrics
Something tells me that there’s too many songs about love
I thought some moments why I needed to know are above, and gone
I stick around a lotta landings and fit just like a glove
Oh, won’t you save me when the end comes and push comes to shove
Go for the beer/feel/fear
It’s the only thing that’s real
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
Go the other way and then go perfect when you then got to lose
We're into rhythm, but we don't want to hear about blues
Don't wanna run, don't wanna burn, why don't I light the fuse?
Take the radio, turn the dial and find there's nothing to lose
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
Someone keeps aside the melancholy deep inside
Beyond the sidelines
But if you follow so, you’ll only bother keeping her
Locked within the sidelines
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
Someone keeps aside the melancholy deep inside
Beyond the sidelines
But if you follow so, you’ll only bother keeping her
Locked within the sidelines
Something tells me that there’s too many songs about love
I thought some moments why I needed to know are above, and gone
I stick around a lotta landings and fit just like a glove
Hey, won’t you save me when the end comes and push comes to shove
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
Go for the feel
It’s the only thing that’s real
