Presumed lyrics
[Audience cheering]
[Verse 1]
Girl you should be over this
There's no time for playing games
With little wicked boys
[Post-chorus]
Special like a crooked smile
An eyebrow says he’s ready
But I just cannot run a mile
[Chorus]
Pick your feet up you’re so funky
Using words like missy, baby, play me, funky
You’re way up high and boy don’t you know it
You think the dance floor wears your name?
The dance floor wears his name
[Verse 2]
If I took a pill and looked at you
I wouldn’t stand a chance
So I’ll stick to drinking
[Post-chorus]
I’m kind of glad you didn’t call
You’re not that bright but boy
Einstein didn’t look like you
[Chorus]
Pick your feet up you’re so funky
Using words like missy, baby, play me, funky
You’re way up high and boy don’t you know it
You think the dance floor wears your name?
The dance floor wears his name
[Verse 3]
Well, I’ve forgotten all the names of those other boys
I wrote the sad songs about
Well, I can’t quite remember how hard I fell last time
You’ve anaethatized my brain
To past and future pain
[Chorus]
'Cause you’re… so funky
Using words like missy, baby, play me, funky
You’re way up high and boy don’t you know it
You think the dance floor wears your name?
The dance floor wears his name
[Verse 4]
And so I took that pill
And boy you were a thrill
La-da da da-da, dada-oh…
And I didn’t quite believe
You said you wouldn’t mess with me
But I knew better, oh I knew better, oh I knew better
[Chorus]
'Cause you’re so funky
Using words like missy, baby, play me, funky
You’re way up high and boy, don’t you know it
You think the dance floor wears your name?
The dance floor wears his name
[Outro]
And so I took that pill
And boy you were a thrill
Ah-da da da-da, dada...
And I didn’t quite believe
You said you wouldn’t mess with me
Oh I knew better, oh I knew better
Oh I knew better, better, better, better, better...
