Formel Eins Thema (previously known as "Unknown 1985 Instrumental" or "Synthesized New Wave") is a formerly unidentified new wave/synthpop song by Dutch producer Jaap Eggernmont.

It was posted on New Wave Outpost Forum on August 10, 2023, by user Edmund. Edmund posted along with the five recordings of his personal tape (all the songs is from 1985, according to him) in which four of them were identified while remained the "Tape 4", which is this song.[1]
The music was shared on Youtube for the first time by the Brazilian YouTuber Gksvevo under the channel gkswaves.[2] The song has no lyrics, which appears to be a demo recording before recording the vocals of the unknown artist and the origin of the song is also unknown.
On April 3, 2025, through a post of the song in r/Lostwave’s subreddit by Gksvevo, a user named VTO-Galaxy-Music identified the song as Formel Eins Thema from Dutch producer Jaap Eggernmont. The music belongs to a German music TV show called "Formel Eins" from 1985. [3]
