Forever Young (also known as "The Virgin Record" and "She's There Forever Young") is an almost solved pop rock song found on a 1979 Virgin promotional Flexi-Disc. The song is most likely Forever Young by Grievous Angel.

Search History[]

The song was first uploaded to YouTube by user mikeluxy on August 18th, 2011 under the title “VIRGIN PROMO RECORD 1979.wmv”. The song plays four minutes in, after what seems to be a recording of a radio quiz show.

Around March 23rd, 2022, user Samuel’s Reposts commented on the video, asking who the song was by. But he never got a response. Sometime later, BloostMedia reuploaded it to YouTube.

In 2024, the OP came back and commented on the video, and said the song was a promo flexi disc made by Virgin in the 1980s and it was likely identified on the Facebook group "Virgin Records in the 70s,”, but the thread couldn’t be found.

On August 13th, 2023, almost 12 years after the original upload, YouTuber Patrik's Random Stuff Channel (@patriksrandom) uploaded a remastered version of the song to his YouTube channel.

On July 10th, 2024, JayRidders discovered that the song was recorded in PAL tone and released a pitch corrected version on his YouTube channel.

In December of 2024, user TacSea commented on the upload, saying he found the original thread and the song was by a a song called Forever Young by a band called Grievous Angel. The band had another song on the same single called I’m With You, but neither of the songs are online.
