Five Minutes is a formerly unidentified indie rock/post-punk song by the Massachusetts based band The Mitchells, it was released as a single in 1995 along with another song, "Under Water".
History[]
On November 14th, 2024, WatZatSong user Sonolux posted a snippet to the site, the post's description being "recorded in 1996". Sonolux also provide the full recording via a Vocaroo link in the description. On November 15th, user Nonoseacrest stated in the post's comments: "Has to be https://www.discogs.com/release/4491656-The-Mitchells-Five-Minutes-Under-Water", to which a search for the audio began.
On November 23rd, 2024, WatZatSong user Choyce found some audio of the song in the May 15th, 1996, WZBC broadcast at the 41-minute mark in the broadcast played by WZBC radio DJ Peter Choyce, taken from Mixcloud.
On January 4th, 2025, the song was fully identified as "Five Minutes" after HD audio was ripped by marktrail, as well as its B-side, "Under Water", which YouTube user Mike Worst uploaded to his channel.

The Mitchells[]
The Mitchells are an indie rock band from Northampton, Massachusetts (USA). They formed sometime in 1994.
The band consists of: Caleb Wetmore (vocals, guitar), Kayvan Darouian (guitar), Jon Herbert (bass) and Mike MacLean (drums).
The band released their first single Five Minutes / Under Water (this song) followed by a second song:
