Not to be confused with Feels Like A Lifetime.
Feels Like a Wish (formerly known as "Fond My Mind", "Nowhere to Run" and "The Most Mysterious Song of Brazil" ) is a formerly unidentified synthpop/freestyle song by the Brazilian duo Station K; which consisted of Edde Edman and André Nóbrega, recorded in 1989.
The song was broadcasted on several Brazilian radio stations during the late 1980s and early 1990s, but it's believed that the music was only broadcasted on the defunct Rádio Cidade from Recife.

On January 5th, 2013, this song was first posted to the music identification forum WatZatSong by user gsipkoi as a 31-second sample.[1]The post was deleted and is currently unarchived, so it’s unknown if they provided any information.
The song was reposted to SpiritOfRadio.ca on August 29th, 2014, by user Peter, although he didn’t provide any information about the song.
2020-2022
In early December of 2020, the full version was found by a user named "gsipkoi", after looking through other websites, which they found in "Last.fm" after the user was searching the same type of music. After various attempts, He finally answered the Discord user by the name of "Glups", And sent the full recording. They said the song was recorded off of a Brazilian radio station such as Transamerica FM, or Radio Cidade.
On January 5th, 2022, it was discovered that this song used samples from "Each Time I Touch You" by the late Swiss artist Valentino. Valentino’s producer, Martin Richard, was contacted, but confirmed he had no involvement with the song.
“Jay Kay”, a previously well known YouTube channel for snippets of lost songs, uploaded the recording to their channel. Along with the black and white image of a dirt road which would be then commonly associated with the song.
2023-2024
In 2023, a user by the name of D-YXKI wrongly claimed the song as his own, which also caused Jay Kay's channel to be deleted due to copyright. Although these claims were false, Jay's channel has not reappeared.
In September 2023, Discord user SkrrTey saw a comment on a music video made by Luiz Neto suggesting a Brazilian cover band named Máquinas na Pista. He contacted them and informed them that they knew the authors, revealing that Brazilian musician Edde Edman was the composer of the song (first time Edman is mentioned) and the vocals belonged to Sérgio Dourado (Sérgio was erroneously appointed the singer of the song).
Several contacts were made with Edman and Sérgio by SkrrTey and Eduardo Rodrigues, both confirmed that Edman is the composer of the song despite the lack of evidence and this generated mistrust and conflicts with the search members. Subsequently, Sergio relegated that in fact, he was not the vocals, but someone named "André" (in which no one knew his identity until December).
Edde said he would provide the full song on his SoundCloud, but months passed and nothing, which caused a huge distrust on the part of the members.
In December of 2023, Discord user Opals had found the profile of a Recife dentist named André Nóbrega. Then, Brazilian Discord user Gksvevo contacted André (he also proposed to members that only Brazilians should make contacts with other Brazilians to avoid conflicts and some unnecessary disagreement). The contact was made and André said without denying that he was, in fact, the person for giving the voice to Fond My Mind. Although he could not prove anything, he suggested contacting Edde because "he may know something about it".
After a few weeks, the members analyzed an interview made by a Brazilian TV station in the 90s in Recife (in which Edde is interviewed) and saw that one more person was interviewed: William Paiva.[2] Gksvevo, without wasting time, was rushing to make contact with William about Edman.
Three days after enough explanation to William, Gksvevo said that William told him that he has a copy of the song in his studio, but will check the next day (December 13th). William then sent a video to Gksvevo showing the tape with the full song. William later joined the Discord server dedicated to searching to post more about the tape and information.
On the same day, he informed that he will be re-mastering the song and will post the full song tomorrow. The next day came, and he finally published the full song.[3] Later, Edde apparently sued "D-YXKI" for falsely claiming the song.[4]
In August of 2024, Edde posted to Reddit, revealing that the idea of creating the song came from a beginning of a romance with a man (whose name is not disclosed) and that the chorus "you got blue eyes like the sky" arose because his lover has blue eyes, and he "charmed" this chorus just for his lover.
Lyrics
I don't know what makes me dream
But I know what makes me think
You've got blue eyes like the sky
I feel part of you inside of me that will never die
I love you
You made my dreams come true
Nowhere to run, nowhere to ride
Don't fog my mind
How can I escape
From this irresistible place
Nowhere to run, nowhere to ride
Don't fog my mind
I love you
You made my dreams come true
I've been trying hard to get away
But this love has come to stay
All the way, all the way
It's gonna stay forever
Maybe I shouldn't know better
Feels like a wish
Feels like a wish coming true
