The song was first posted to YouTube on April 20th, 2009, by user vajito06. They said the song was misattributed to Three Days Grace/Groundswell under the name Falling.
On March 11th, 2024, the song was identified by user thpz as Falling by Makeshift. They found the song on an Internet Archive link to a site that now contains a virus.

Makeshift was a alternative rock band from Purchase, New York, USA.
The band consisted of vocalist Craig, guitarist Justin and second guitarist Dave.
On November 30th, 1999, they released their first song, Hit Song. That song is currently lost.
On July 24th, 2001, they released Falling.
Sometime later, they disbanded. The members’ whereabouts are unknown, and there’s very little information about them online.
