"Drive Me" (formerly known as "Stop Making Me Cry") is a formerly unidentified electro house song that was released by the Mexican band, "K-Girls" as a single in 2000, with three currently available versions, being the Radio Remix, Dance Floor Remix and the DJ Inc. Remix. The original samples that pilo had provided had sounded different to the three different versions.
Search History
Late 2023-Early 2024
On December 18th, 2023, user pilo posted the song to WatZatSong along with another that was known as Boogeyman. He said it was from the 2000s, but he didn't provide any information about where the songs came from, nor a longer snippet.
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by multiple users, such as JackAmpersand, S3V3R3DH3AD, Jcorsen, Tomlostwave, Sharpy0, JayKay, Q, Aero, Lostwavefinder, S2h, and multiple others, amassing over 200k views.
On April 26th, 2024, two days after Q's reupload, Pilo posted a snippet to Vocaroo in response to a hostile comment on the post by user BASTARD, who claimed that he was gatekeeping the full song[1]. He said it was recorded it onto a cassette tape off an FM radio around 2001 to 2002.[2]
May 2024
On May 16th, 2024, shortly after other unknown song La Canción De Alicia/Under The Stars was identified, the song was given a channel in the Fond My Mind Discord Server, being put in the "Main Unknowns" category.
On May 25th, 2024, pilo uploaded a 44 second longer snippet of the song to Vocaroo. He said that the tape was broken and he fixing it[3]. He also said it was recorded off of a station in Puebla, Mexico, in 2000 or 2001, and the station played remixes on weekends.[4]
On the same day, Discord users McKiddie and Murphy identified the song as Drive Me by K-Girls after McKiddie searched through the record label that published pilo's first solved song[5][6], and Murphy was only able to find the shortened radio version the website remixsearch.es, which was missing a section from pilo's most recent snippet.[7][8]
On May 29th, 2024, archive.org user Cerezoso25 found the full 5-minute version. Later Redditor sirlilypad7 listened to Pilo's third snippet of the song and found a section of the song in the snippet that is not in the three versions of the song, meaning there’s a possible missing fourth version.
Despite the song being found, there has been no information about the singers. A small search for the singers were attempted. The producer was contacted, but gave very little information and stopped responding. Due to this, the search eventually ended.
Old Leads & Theories
A common theory behind the song was that the singer behind the song could've also been the same artist as another song, being "Everyone Knows That". It was later proven to have been false after the identification of EKT and the singers sounding nothing alike.
Another common theory behind the song was that the song could've been the same artist as another pilo song, being "Boogeyman". After that song was identified, people had thought that Bla Bla Posse could've also been behind "Stop Making Me Cry" but it was later proven false.
Another theory said the song was "Made Me Cry" by Madison Avenue but was proven to be false.
Another theory said the song was "Drive Me Crazy" by The Shakers. This was thought to have been debunked when a song of the same name was found on a Russian site, but was not truly debunked until user murphy on the Fond my Mind Discord server found a 30-second snippet of the song on a French site then the full track on YouTube.

- Despite the fact that the song itself has been found, the singers are still unidentified.
- According to the songs producer Stefano, K-Girls was only a studio project, meaning they could not continue as K-Girls.
- The color scheme of the most famous associative image matches the official album cover.
- It’s unknown which version of the song pilo uploaded to WatZatSong, but the most accepted one is the Dance Floor Remix. However, some doubt this due to the instrumental part in Pilo’s sample being slightly different than the remix.[9]
- Due to the fact that pilo turned out to be a hoaxer, there is a high probability that their last snippet was created by them, and the fourth version of Drive Me does not exist.
