Dreams 4ever, also known or formerly known as the placeholders "La Canción De Alicia" or "Under The Stars", is a formerly unidentified psychedelic rock song by Peruvian band Bad Influence, recorded in 2017 and released in 2024.
Search History
Sometime before July 3rd, 2021, a Facebook user named Jitomate Triste shared the song snippet in an unknown Facebook group, asking if anyone knew its name. Part of the song was in a video edit with scenes from Disney's animated film Alice in Wonderland.
The shared snippet was 1 minute and 4 seconds long. Jitomate Tristes's posts did not garner much attention, so they were quickly put aside. Shortly after, their Facebook account would be either deactivated or suspended, and has not been seen since.
A user by the name of Daniel Gutiérrez uploaded a screen recording of Jitomate Triste's original post to a Facebook group titled Lost Media Perdidos Posting on July 3rd, 2021. In the post, Daniel was asking members for help in finding the name of the song. In the comments, Daniel claims he was passed this screen recording from a friend who was also looking for the song's name.
The video was re-uploadeded to YouTube by a user named Bluxid_ a couple of days later.[1] Said re-upload would gain traction in September of that year, starting a search.
On November 1st, 2021, Gin & Tonic bass player, Richard (richardvox on YT) posts his recreation of the song to largen the search due to their band being a lead for the song. But however, this was however bad for the song due to a large portion of the searchers had given up and began making therories surrounding Richard as how he originally made the song but cannot face copyright. This was later proven false after to identification.
On May 16th, 2024, Reddit user u/JMike_324 was having a conversation at the university with a friend. JMike showed the song to his friend and the friend claimed that she had heard it before. She stated that it was from a Peruvian band named "Bad Influence" and even knew a member of the band. This led JMike to find a Facebook post[2] from the band's group, which showed a live performance of the song in 2018, finally ending the search as the mystrious song's official title was identified as "Dreams 4ever" .[3] A day later, JMike uploaded the full studio version to YouTube.
