"Don't Wear That Thong" is an formerly unidentified parody of "Thong Song" by Sisqo, performed by Wicker in the Morning feat. Nicki West. It is included alongside "Please Shut Up" (which is a formerly unidentified The Real Slim Shady parody) in their 2000 CD album titled "Q-Ville Classics", that was dedicated for releasing around the Christmas.
It was misattributed to Weird Al Yankovic, Jimmy Fallon, Bob Rivers, Robert Marks, Mad TV, Rodney Carrington, Fitz, Sekalaista, Tom Green, Chris Moyles and Sisqo himself on multiple P2P websites in the early 2000s. Also, the title was incorrectly listed as "Please Don't Wear That Thong", "Please Don't Wear Your Thong" or "Plz Don't Wear That Thong".
The song is also listed on the "Not Al" list along with other parodies of the same song and it would be the second solved parody (the first is being The Pokemon Song).
Search History
The earliest YouTube upload of the song would be done by user elitz tv, on June 10th, 2007. The song was used in his game animation video. Although the OP never provided any information nor artist attribution, he supposedly downloaded it from a file sharing site before the year. It was also reposted on YouTube few times especially around the late 2000s.
On July 19th, 2025, Lostwave's Unfinest reuploaded the song to their YouTube channel, pulling it from another upload by user Ryan O'Reilly which had viewed the most with over 440k views at the point.
Around October 2025, user hookedrago discovered the possible artist being Wicker in the Morning when digging out the MusicBrainz website.
On November 9th, 2025, the song was eventually identified as made by the group.[1]
