The song was first posted to YouTube on December 12th, 2009 by user Jesús Pallares, they didn’t provide any information about where they got the song from.
On March 2nd, 2010, the song was reposted to YouTube by user javieriitoo, who falsely labeled it as Doctor Pitangu - Dicen. The song was theorized to be from Chile or Spain.
On May 27th, 2025, the song was identified by users Cluttic and Murphy as a demo version of Dicen by Alberto Aduer after Cluttic found the final version on Alberto’s SoundCloud and Murphy found a shorter version of the demo on archive.org along with proof of the song being online prior to the youtube upload.
