Daydream is an unknown pop song. It's a cover of Wallace Collection - Daydream (1969). It's likely "Day Dream" by David D'or, but verification is needed.

Search History[]

On February 7th 2025, it was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user LeonidK with no info.

Due to sound, it is most likely from a compilation CD, however it may be downloaded via peer-to-peer site.

LeonidK later deleted their account for unknown reasons.

Theories/Leads[]

WatZatSong user Retrogamer suggested the singer sounded like Ken Hirai: "The singer sounds like the Japanese singer Ken Hirai. He also released a series of Live albums with a few covers of English songs (The albums were called "Ken's Bar") but I can't find a cover of "Daydream" by Wallace Collection by him."

On August 25th, 2025, another user girlwantsboy used music recognition software from the "Gracenote" company on the sample, and it gave the result of "Day Dream" by David D'or, from the compilation album "Lady in Red Volume 6".[1] It’s listed on Discogs, but the full audio of the song is needed for it to be considered solved.[2]

Lyrics[]

Daydream, I fell asleep amid the flowers
For a couple of hours on a beautiful day

Daydream, I dreamed of you amid the flowers
For a couple of hours, such a beautiful day!

I dreamed of the places I've been with you
How we sat with the stream flowing by

And then when I kissed you and held you
So near tell me why, tell me why you're so shy?

Daydream, I fell asleep amid the flowers
For a couple of hours on a beautiful day

Daydream, come share a dream amid the flowers
For a couple of hours on a beautiful day

I dreamed of the places I've been with you
How we sat with the stream flowing by

And then when I kissed you and held you so near
Tell me why, tell me why you're so shy?

Daydream, I sing with you amid the flowers
For a couple of hours, singing all of the day

Na na na na na na na, na
