The website was created sometime before May 15th, 2024, by Reddit user u/hurfdogbuttsniff to search electronic music for similar sounding songs. The first solve(s) using the site would come on November 10th with the three songs "NightOwl", "Dark Heart of the Woods" & "TRIPUP".

On October 13th, 2025, the website would receive a major redesign/revamp with new additions such as a "Popular Tracks" section and a revamped FAQ section. Another new addition includes the (optional) ability to create an account on the site to generate API keys.
