Complacency (formerly known as In the Sunshine or We’re Singing) is a formerly unidentified shoegaze song by Irish band Rollerskate Skinny, released on September 14th, 1992 on the single Novice, with another song titled Cushy Daughter.

The song was first posted to the New Wave Outpost forums by user Guglielm on August 23rd, 2012 along with multiple other unknown songs. He didn’t provide any information about the songs.
On April 20th, 2013, Guglielm commented on the WFMU.org page for a playlist made by user Bob Brainen, saying the songs were recorded sometime between 1981-1984 or 1991-1993 off of WFMU.
Guglielm reposted the song to WatZatSong on July 19th, 2013, without providing any additional information about it, but it was most likely recorded from 1991-1993.
On June 27th, 2014. Guglielm reposted the song to WatZatSong again, saying “the lyrics are even more difficult to catch - any suggestions?”.
On March 26th, 2023, Guglielm confirmed that he digitized all of his cassette tapes with the songs on them in the early 90s, and no longer had any of them anymore.
On November 15th, 2024, the song was identified by user a_hoarde_of_rand as Complacency by Rollarskate Skinny. The song was identified after it was posted to the Reddit r/Shoegaze subreddit by user Wyyvern and a_hoard_of_rand recognized it.
