Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
What a bold exchange
Your summer perch
No time for evaluation
What a bold exchange
Your summer perch
No time for elation.

[Verse 2]
You keep your most flattering photographs
False past
For everyone to see
I went outside today, first time in a while
Afraid at what may lay farther ahead.

[Chorus]
Comforts lost, service lost
Fortress, bolt steel door locked.
Comforts lost, service lost
Fortress, bolt steel door locked.

[Verse 3]
What a bold exchange
Your summer perch
No time for evaluation
What a bold exchange
Your summer perch
No time for elation.

[Verse 4]
Who wants your idiosyncrasies?
Your tasks
For everyone, not me
I went outside today, first time in a while
Afraid at what may lay farther ahead.

[Chorus]
Comforts lost, service lost
Fortress, bolt steel door locked.
Comforts lost, service lost
Fortress, bolt steel door locked.

[Verse 5]
Drive diminishes as money earners become friends
And money spinners reach great heights
Men lay in mud while others toil for others
To retain that life.

[Chorus]
Comforts lost, service lost
Fortress, bolt steel door locked.
Comforts lost, service lost
Fortress, bolt steel door locked.

Bring Philip[]

Bring Philip was a post punk and industrial band from Sydney, Australia. They formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1989.

The band had plenty of members, including: Ilmar Karuso (vocals, guitar), Dino Martino (keyboards, rhythm programming), Simon Hunt (guitar, keyboards, vocals, 1982-87), Eddie Duquemin (drums, percussion, 1983-85) and John Robertson (bass, guitar, 1985-88).

The band played one of their first concerts on The Tivoli venue, local clubhouse from Sydney, in 1983.

The band put out their first EP titled Endoscopy with four songs:

Still in 1983, their song Biodestiny appeared on the Live at the Wireless The EP, an EP with three other bands playing their songs live.

In 1984, the band put out the single Comforts / 3:27 (this song), followed by a second song:

Their song Bodymen appeared on the compilation album Beyond The Southern Cross, a collection of songs by Australian and New Zealand bands.

The band broke up in 1989, but some of its members remained active. Simon Hunt became a producer, songwriter and filmmaker. Eddy Duquemin released one album Crossculture in 2002. Angelo Plate currently works on the record label Music Lab Berlin.
