Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
(this is what I gotta say)
Everybody wanna' stop and look, every black man labeled as a crook.
Mama always taught me that it was a stint, to judge every man by the color of their skin, I walk the block, I get stopped by a cop, they take off my shoes, take off my socks.
They search me and I'm up the bar, but they rush me, cuff me, thrust me in a car. I'm a young lad never known to be bad, please stop the car so I can call mom and dad.
I know my rights and freedoms, but I commit a crime they took me to the county so I can do some time. With a nightstick and a big fat badge, they judged me, already colored me bad, They colored me, they colored me bad!
[Chorus]
But I'll tell ya' Man [But I've also built this family]
Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo Y-Y-Yo-Yo-Yo
[Verse 2]
He was stripped from his pride. but not from his faith. All the evidence was on video tape, pretend to be blind, they wanna ignore, another black brother beaten down by the law. Yelled the call of justice, but it's not just brothers going out, doing what they must. It went worldwide, all over the news. The brothers broken up and badly bruised, going out to the president, the government, the [pope?]. it reached to a point where black people can't vote, with the no [???] coming from the three black brothers fight back with [violence?] from philly'. Hit a cry up the storm and up from stable, I think the judge got paid under the table, and it's sad, the man had been had. Like a black crayon, they colored him bad.
[Chorus]
They colored me, they colored me bad
They colored me, they colored me bad
[Verse 3]
Must've be a problem, showed their floor, why turn it into a racial war. After 400 years, I was trapped, now we still gotta fight for equal rights. You're not [???], But you know what it's about, you don't give a fuck cuz you're living in a white house! Take us out, we've all been had, just because I'm black, they colored me-
[Chorus]
GET OUT!
