The song was originally used in the Disney made for TV movie Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas!, released on May 2nd, 2011. The song wasn’t credited in the film.
A day later, the scene including the song was posted to YouTube by user Dcwsnx, giving it the placeholder name "The Only Thing That Matters Is Christmas With You".
Three days later, the song by itself was posted to YouTube by user Nostalgic Child. The majority of the people in the comments of the video asked for the song name, but nobody knew it, including the OP.
2020s[]
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as LostwaveFinder, Zumi, Ofrix, Q, AlianTheObscure, No Background, 𝑀𝑟. 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠, S2h, and multiple others, amassing over 10k views.
The songwriters have been confirmed to be Andy Dodd and Barry Dean but the singer is still unknown. As of now, Barry have not replied to anyone's questions about who the song was by.
On June 27th, 2024, the song was given a channel in the Fond My Mind Discord Server, being put in the "Other Unknown Songs (2)" category.
On August 16th, 2024, Discord user Alan contacted Andy, asking who the song was by[1], Andy asked Alan who he was, so he explained the concept of Lostwave and that people were looking for the singer, then Andy ghosted Alan.[2]
On September 1st, 2025, after unidentified song Again and Again was identified, the FMM channel for the song was promoted to the "Other Unknown Songs (1)" category.
On September 22nd, 2025, the FMM channel was archived, due to Alan responding, saying that the singer wishes to remain anonymous who's protected by an NDA and she has no online presence.[3][4][5]
