Chinita (Alex Erre & DJ Mayo Mix) (formerly known as ”No le Gusta que la Toquen” [English: “She Doesn’t Like to be Touched”]) is a formerly unidentified cumbia song originally by Argentinian band Sanadino, and remixed by Alex Erre and DJ Mayo. The song was originally believed to be a hoaxed, but it was disproven.

Search History

2023

The song was originally posted onto WatZatSong on September 16th, 2023, by user Chorro/Ma-Di[1]. They didn’t provide any information about the song other than it being pitched up, and they said they didn’t have a longer snippet. [2]

Users in the comments quickly theorized that the artist behind the song was Argentinian, due to the singer’s accent and the OP’s original username being Argentinian slang.

2024

On April 14th, 2024, an unknown user found Logic Pro X, a music maker, in the metadata of the post. This led people to think that the song was a hoax made by the OP.

A day later, the OP responded to these claims, saying that he didn’t make the song, he was Austrian, and the song was given to them in 2021 or 2022 by a DJ who didn’t know the song’s title.

On April 26th, 2024, the OP proved it wasn’t a hoax after they posted a minute long snippet of the song that their friend gave them. It came from a YouTube video posted on September 14th, 2018, by user Karpa89. The video was a tribute to the late Italian DJ Mayo.

Later that day, the full song was found[3] in a DJ Mayo mix posted to YouTube by him on August 1st, 2018. Since Mayo was deceased and Karpa89 was inactive, they didn’t answer anyone’s questions about who the song was by.

A few days later, user Leila Galesic commented on Q’s reupload of the song, saying she discovered that a snippet of it was featured in the background of a video of DJ Mayo’s funeral that was posted to YouTube on August 8th, 2017, by Italian news channel Ravennawebtv.

The song was identified on May 1st, 2024 by a deleted Reddit User, that-soleman, and Alex Erre as a song made by Sanadino titled "Chinita". The song was also confirmed to be a mix by Alex Erre and DJ Mayo despite the sample and full song being different. [4]

Presumed lyrics

Cuando la chinita va a bailar
No le gusta que la toquen
No le gusta que la toquen
Si la tocan se acabó

Cuando la chinita va a bailar
No le gusta que la miren
No le gusta que la miren
Si la miran todo mal

Porque dice que
Tiene roto el corazón
Tiene roto el corazón
Porque un hombre malo la dejó

Ella dice que
Tiene roto el corazón
Tiene roto el corazón
Porque un hombre malo la dejó

Por eso baila chinita, baila sola
Pero se divierte como loca
Un hombre se acerca para hablar
Ella los mira, los mira mal

Por eso baila chinita, baila sola
Pero se divierte como loca
Un hombre se acerca para hablar
Ella los mira, los mira mal

(Unintelligible)

Baila chinita, baila sola
Pero se divierte como loca
Un hombre se acerca para hablar
Ella los mira, los mira mal

Baila chinita, baila sola
Pero se divierte como loca
Un hombre se acerca para hablar
Ella los mira, los mira mal

Baila chinita, baila sola
Pero se divierte como loca
Un hombre se acerca para hablar
Ella los mira, los mira mal
