Chemistry (formerly known as "CIA Hates Communists (Part 2) and Frantic Synth-Pop") is a formerly unidentified synth-pop song. It was posted by WatZatSong user NY80sTapes. On August 23, 2023, it was identified as Chemistry by Chemistry Set. They also made another lost song called Iron Curtain.
Search History
On July 6th, 2023, user NY80sTapes posted the snippet to WatZatSong, giving it the placeholder name “Frantic Synthpop” He also provided a full 1-minute snippet on Vocaroo. It was recorded off of a New York or New Jersey radio station in 1983 or before.
The following day, It was found out that NY80sTapes' other sample "CIA Hates Communists" (now known as Iron Curtain) had a similar sounding female vocal singer. Thus, it was assumed that these two samples were the same song of made by the same artist.
On August 23rd 2023, NY80sTapes discovered a remastered version of the song on Soundcloud, called "ChemSet Teaser - 1" by a user called Steve Mecca. He turned out to be one of the three band members of band called Chemistry Set.
On August 28th, 2023, it was confirmed to be the a remastered song called Chemistry by Chemistry Set after the full version was posted by the band online.
