"Caterwauling Noise Rock" is an unidentified noise rock song that was recorded off of a non-commercial radio station in 1994, along with two other songs, being "Screaming Noise Rock" (was identified as Further - Inert Pieces). and "Noisy Jazz Rock" (was identified as International Anthem - Song In G Flat).

On November 6th, 2022, YouTube user "Most Mysterious 90s" (marktrail) posted a video containing three different unidentified samples, the songs mentioned above and this song. The OP decided to give the song the nickname "Caterwauling Noise Rock" due to how the snippet had sounded.
The OP gave an explanation for why the snippets he recorded were so short, saying in his channel’s bio:
“In the first half of the 90s, I used to record tapes from the radio which consisted of mostly incomplete songs, usually very short snippets. I think the idea was to make a sort of weird radio sound-collage, and to create an audio snapshot of what was on the radio at the time, and to fit hundreds of songs onto a 60- or 90-minute tape.”
On January 23rd, 2024, marktrail themselves managed to identify one of the songs from the video, being "Noisy Jazz Rock" as "Song In G Flat" by International Anthem, which meant that two songs remained unknown.
On June 22nd, 2025, Discord user VisualConfusion identified another song as "Inert Pieces" by Further after coming across an upload of the snippet and recognizing it as they had heard the album before while searching for Lostwave. As of now, this is the last remaining song from the video that remains unidentified.
