Misattributed

Songs that were misattributed to other artists, commonly Michael Jackson, Weird Al Yankovic or The Beatles. It was often happened on multiple filesharing sites and video sharing platforms since the earlier Internet.

Such songs originating from bootleg that are falsely claimed as outtakes are oftentimes called "outfakes".

• Weird Al Yankovic: being falsely attributed to various unrelated parody songs or silly song especially around the 1990s and 2000s. Weird Al himself has also compiled the "Not Al" list in the 2000s to prevent further misattribution.
• The Beatles: having many own outtakes and bootlegs caused much song misattribution. Audios of such songs are mostly damaged and noisy intentionally, due to theirselves being illegally recorded.
