On May 21st, 2008, user funky_vinyls_records uploaded a video titled “80’s muzik” onto Dailymotion, containing various songs, such as this one. Various songs posted by them remained unidentified, such as "Somewhere In The Night".
On June 13th, 2024, the channel was discovered by user Floptok, along with the mix that contained the longer sample of Somewhere In The Night. However, several songs remained unidentified, including this one.
The following day, user Lost Content & Nostalgic Videos uploaded a mix of several unidentified songs that branched from several uploads by funky_vinyls_records.
On September 20th, 2024, the song was identified by both YouTube user VTO Pictures & Galaxy Music Fan and Discord user AzureBlast as "Can't Touch You Now" by Misfits of Science.
On September 29th, the duo rereleased the song on BandCamp, along with their other music, and various remixes of the song.
