Bravely (formerly known as "Try To Smile Again" or "I Can Make You Smile") is a formerly unidentified synthpop song by Estonian duo Beatboy (Sven and Sulev Lõhmus). It was recorded in the year 1992 and first posted online on August 19th, 2004 on a website owned by Marek.

2000s
On August 19th, 2004, user Oskar first uploaded a 31 second snippet of the song to the now-deleted website hot.ee/italodisco/ under the title "I Can Make You Smile If You Sometimes Cry"[1]. They didn’t provide any information about the song.
On March 20th, 2005, Marek posted the 30-second snippet of the song onto Spirit of Radio[2]. Throughout the 17 years of being on the website, several trolls comment farfetched song names, but the team continued to push on.
On October 4th, 2009, user Konstantinos reuploaded Marek's snippet to SpiritOfRadio, but no notable leads were found, and the search was abandoned once again.[3]
2020s
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as FatBird, JayKay, Q, Aspirations, Funado, Lostwave, 💜, Hivemind Productions, Zumi, Murphy, and multiple others, amassing over 200k views.
In 2022, it was believed to be Lost And Found by Touzent, but this was incorrect. At the end of 2023, it was attributed to an unknown band called "Нечто" but that turned out to be incorrect as well.
On August 3rd, 2023, a channel for the song was made in the FMM Discord server after winning a channel poll, along with Black and Chrome, How Long, Dark Places, Waste My Time, Walking In Paradise, and So Beautiful Now.
On February 14th, 2024, an extended recording of the song was uploaded onto YouTube by Oskar. They might've recorded it between 1995-1997 off of a radio station in Estonia, but he didn't remember which station.[4] Several users attributed it as a "Valentine's Miracle".
On February 25th, 2024, Reddit user regingryzor was researching Estonian radio stations from the 1990's when he discovered a YouTube channel named Martin Jaanus that uploaded recordings of radio jingles and advertisements from the radio station Top Raadio.[5][6]
After contacting Martin Jaanus, he claimed that the song was likely an early production from popular Estonian musician Sven Lõhmus, from when he and his brother had a band named Beat Boy, and attached a link to a similar song named Girl.[7][8]
On February 26th, 2024, the song was identified as "Bravely" by Beatboy, confirmed by the songwriter, but there was still no proof at the time that it actually was by Beatboy, so it was stated to be "nearly solved".[9]
The following day, the full song was posted after Discord user Mystic65 found it on the Soulseek Network, and it was confirmed to be the same song.[10]

Beatboy (Sven Lõhmus)

Sven Lõhmus is an Estonian pop-composer, lyricist and producer born in 1972.
He started his music career in late 80s/early 90s as Beatboy, along with his brother Sulev Lõhmus. So far, three of his songs have been found: Bravely, B.Boy Rap and Girl.
In 1997, Girl was featured on the compilation album Sue Darling Is Back To Meet Forwards.
In the 2000s, he started his producer career. Since then, he has worked with many Estonian bands and artists such as Suntribe, Vanilla Ninja, Urban Symphony and Getter Jaani.
Some of his most well-known works include:
- Producing and writing the lyrics of Rockfeller Street by Getter Jaani. She represented Estonia with that song on 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, and ranked at 24th place.
- Producing the song Rändajad by Urban Symphony. That song finished 6th on 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, achieving Estonia's best placement.
- Producing and writing the lyrics of Let's Get Loud by Suntribe. The group represented Estonia with that song at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest and finished at 20th place.
- Producing and writing the lyrics of Verona by Koit Toome & Laura. They represented Estonia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and finished at 14th place.
Sven is still active today. He used to be the keyboard player and backup vocals for the pop group Black Velvet, as well as being featured in a song by the group Mr. Happyman.
