Brasas em Minha Vida (English: Flames in my Life) is an unknown Brazilian country song. The song is a parody/cover of Jambalaya (On The Bayou) by Hank Williams.

Seach history[]

It was posted on YouTube by user Nilson Fontes. According to the user, he found it on a cassette tape from 1997 called "As Meninas do Rodeio" ("The Rodeo Girls").

Leads and theories[]

A r/Brasil subreddit user pointed to a Brazillian country music duo called Geizi e Luciana, as they have an album titled "As Meninas do Rodeio", which is the same name as the cassette tape. However, said album does not contain this song. It is possible that it is an unreleased song from the album. Contacting with the duo's members, if possible, may help solve the mystery.

Presumed lyrics[]

translation

Foi paixão? Foi amor? Não sei dizer
Eu só sei dizer que me apaixonei
E agora que estou longe dele
A saudade bate forte no meu peito
E o cheiro do cowboy me enfeitiçou
Já tentei esquecer e não tem jeito

Chorus (twice)
Quero encontrar o meu cowboy, o meu peão
Dar um beijo e derrubar ele no chão
E fazer ele gemer sem sentir dor
E fazer dele o meu garanhão

Você foi mais que uma transa em minha vida
Nunca conheci alguém como você
Me deu prazer como eu nunca sonhei
E roubou segredos do meu coração

Eu me lembro de um rodeio que nós fomos
E em cima do cavalo ele era o tal
Por onde ia ele jogava o seu laço
E foi assim que laçou meu coração

Chorus (twice)

Was it passion? Was it love? I can't say
All I can say is that I felt in love
And now I'm far away from him
I miss him strongly in my heartbeats
And his cowboy smell bewitched me
I've tried to forget him, but there's no way

Chorus (twice)
I want to find my cowboy, my peon
Give him a kiss that knocks him down on the ground
And make him moan without pain
And make my stallion of him

You were more than a bang in my life
I never met someone like you
You gave me pleasure like I never dreamed
And stole secrets from my heart

I remember a rodeo we went to
And riding the horse he was the greatest
He threw his lasso wherever he want
And that was how he lassoed my heart

Chorus (twice)
