Bora Tomar Uma is an unidentified arrochadeira song that originated from a WhatsApp video and was later uploaded to YouTube by Ver.Roberlan Cokim.

2018-2020s[]
The song's first well known post on the internet was a YouTube video posted on February 3rd, 2018, by user Ver.Roberlan Cokim that shows a man playing a piano while the 21 second clip plays in the background.
The song became a massive meme in Brazil around late 2022. After a random user posted a low quality video of Sid from the movie Ice Age dancing to a 17 second clip of the song, several reuploads and high quality remasters of the video followed, amassing over one million views.
Users at first tried to contact Ver.Roberlan Cokim to see if he knew where the song came from. He stated that he randomly got the video from WhatsApp.
The search then moved on to the man playing the piano in the video, as some believed that he was the creator of the song. This was refuted when the original video was posted by the man himself, in which he was singing the song "Baby can I hold you".
The song has a woman constantly saying "Vai não!" (He will not!) whenever the man singing says "Bora tomar uma" (Let's drink one [as in beer]). This woman, named Leodina, and she saying that was already a meme. That said, it is unknown if the original song has her voice sample or if it was edited into the meme.
2024-2025[]
On December 5th, 2024, three days after Q reuploaded it, Discord user giovane2230 claimed that he heard the full song coming from a bar he lived close to, and when the bar owner was contacted he said the singer was Maycon Rodrigues.[1]
Maycon was contacted, and he confirmed he made the song. He said he was making a new version of the song and he’d post the original version when the remake was finished. Nearly a year later, Maycon still hasn’t finished the remake.[2]
On November 13th, 2025, the song was removed from verification needed when it was noticed that Maycon was quite vague about whether or not the song he made was a cover or the original.
