The song was first posted to YouTube on June 25, 2015 by user Adam Paul, asking users to identify the track. Taken from the video's description:
”this track is on a mixtape i made back in probably '94 or '95. i have no idea now who the band is, and Shazam etc. do not provide any finds. i kinda expect it was a very indie release, possibly of the Christian rock genre, but now I would like to recover that lost album. please help, if possible."
In March of 2024, user SpiceyDrinkBottle brought up the possibility of the song being Blurred by 1000 Young. They put the song into a program called TidyMyMusic and it said the song was the same. The band’s vocalist sounded identical
On March 18th, 2024, the song was identified by user Isle7 as Blurred by 1000 Young after they bought the album the song was on.
