On March 24th, 2024, a Reddit user u/Kikoriki_fan posted the song to r/Smeshariki, asking if anyone knew where the song was used, if it ever was.
On May 4th, 2024, it was discovered that the music is a distorted version of Тема Биби. It was also discovered that the music was posted to many music-downloading websites, including VK, and one of the posts that used the song was made in 2020.

Sound Generator is a sound for the item with the same name from the game Kick the Buddy: Forever, and the Kick The Buddyman series consisting of unknown broadcasts and songs.
In late 2015, British company Crazylion Studios created the Kick The Buddyman series, consisting of 3 games: Origins, Mad Lab, and Soviet Russia. Then in December 2018, they were merged into Kick the Buddy: Forever. The games include a "sound generator" in wich contains unknown songs and radio stuff most likely being bitcrushed. Before 2025, a snippet was posted on TikTok by user Abrakadabra473.
Few days later, a user called michalczewski revealed that it was made by WS.PRO, under the comment. They also uploaded the full song along with the image of the CD album to YouTube on May 11th, 2025.
On May 13th, 2025, Polish user Eicag posted the full song onto his YouTube channel, claiming to have found from a defunct Polish filesharing site Wrzuta.pl.

On May 29th, 2017, YouTube user Jesusofnazareth9272 would reupload the 6 second snippet, he likely took it from Vine due to the snippet's length. It would go viral and become a quite popular meme. On January 15th, 2020, Original4ofus YT reuploaded the video to YouTube.
The video length is 6 seconds, but the audio might be at least 10 seconds actually, considering how much time the bar showing the time remaining has shown there's plenty time of the audio left. Also, the voice sounds like a black man amateur singing.

On September 10th, 2022, a 53-second snippet was posted to r/Lostwave. OP, u/SoDoISong, said that he found a tape and that the song was made around in the 80s.
On October 31st, 2022, he found a tape at his grandparents' house with the song. On the tape, there was text that said "Lasson & Schwarz So Do I Demo 1984".
A day later, the song was identified as DCO - So Do I by an unknown Reddit user. Some people said that the search is obviously a hoax because the song really sounded that it has just been recorded on a phone from a YouTube video and because the story is barely believable.
