Blind Spot (formerly known as Story's So Intricate or Thought It's The End) is a formerly unidentified punk rock song by German band The Smarties, released in 1989 on the album Operation: Thunderbunny.

The song was first posted to the John Peel wiki on March 8th, 2020 by user JohnPeel3904. It came from a John Peel mixtape that was played on BFBS in 1989.[1]

On July 2nd, 2023, user Mike Worst reposted the song to WatZatSong, asking who it was by and giving the song the placeholder names "The Story's So Intricate" and "Am I Too Short? / Shoot Your Thoughts Again".

Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as MistaEgg, Ofrix, Mike Worst, and multiple others, amassing over 2k views.

On February 4th, 2025, it was discovered that the song was identified by the YouTube copyright system as Blind Spot by The Smarties, due to the band uploading the album to streaming websites a few weeks prior.
