"Battle For The Northstar" (formerly known as GABBER Mixtape Track 2) is a formerly unidentified gabber song recorded and released by Belgian artist, VDD Energise (real name Filip Vandendriesseche) in 1995 in their album, "Belgium Frites", along with "Don't Open The Arc".

The song was first uploaded onto Youtube, by a user named "нет войне!" on June 12th, 2016. There were three songs that a friend of нет войне! compiled from a CD. The three song were:
- GABBER Mixtape Track 1, "Don't Open The Arc" by VDD Energise.
- GABBER Mixtape Track 2, "Battle For The Northstar" by VDD Energise.
- GABBER Mixtape Track 3, "Mind Over Matta" by DJ Delerium.
The third track was identified prior to the other two tracks, which it was discovered by user, "stauwehr" as "Mind Over Matta" by DJ Delerium.
On August 3rd, 2024, popular lostwave poster, "Ziro" would reupload the remaining two gabber tracks onto her channel, to give the songs more attention and get it identified sooner.
On August 14th, 2024, a user named "Low Entropy" would discover and identify the song as "Battle For The Northstar" by the band, VDD Energise and was released in 1995 on the album, "Belgium Frites".
VDD Energise[]
VDD Energise (real name: Filip Vandendriessche) was a producer and DJ from Belgium.
In 1995, he released his first album, Belgium Frites, which included this song.
In 1995, he and other Belgian DJ Valium released the EP, Macedone EP, with three songs by him.
