"Battle For The Badge" (formely known as "Rocket Takeoff") is a rock cover of the Pokémon RBG soundtrack by the same name.
It was finished in 2007 by London-based rock guitarist, Cain McCormack, also known by his internet-alias "Fishy" and then later released in 2011, as part of a 2-CD Pokémon compilation album, titled "Pokémon: The Missingno Tracks" by the label "OverClocked ReMix", where it is featured as the ninth track of the first disc.

On April 28th, 2021, Niski would upload a 45-second snippet of a song onto WatZatSong. He suggested that it may had lyrics and while it was playing, he only managed to record the ending of the song. No further information was added to that first initial post.
On December 15th, 2021, he would repost the snippet in the FMM Discord Server on his now archived channel "Niskis Infinity". In the post, he recollects that he recorded it off an unknown radio station earlier that year, presumably from a college one from the US.
Three years later, specifically on May 29th, 2024. A WZS user would ask Niski if he had some further information about the snippet. A day later, Niski would respond by denying it and post a Vocaroo Link that same day.
On September 28th, 2024, after the some suspicion from the FMM Staff and the server members. Niski would later reveal himself that he hoaxed a large majority of his songs, including Rocket Takeoff. Thus outing him as a hoaxer.
However a day later, Mystic65, a user from the FMM Discord Server managed identify the snippet as "Battle for the Badge" by the London-based rock guitarist, Fishy.
