The song was first posted to the Discogs Track IDs forum sometime before 2018 by user Afibiti. They said it was from 1990, but didn't provide any information about where the song came from.
On November 8th, 2018, the OP reposted the song to WatZatSong under the name SALIM_RJ. They linked the nearly full version, but the link expired.
Three days later, the OP placed a bounty on the song, saying they'd pay whoever identified it $15 through PayPal.[1]
Around 2020, user illicopresto discovered that the bass in the song samples Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now by McFadden & Whitehead, released in 1979.[2]
2021[]
On May 31st, 2021, the OP raised the bounty up by 10 dollars, boosting it to $25. It's unknown if this bounty is still active.[2]
On October 17th, 2021, the OP reposted the song again, to Tuneid.com, posting the nearly full version to Vocaroo. They still didn't provide information about where it came from.
2024-2025[]
Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as Marksaw, S2h, AlianTheObscure, and multiple others, amassing over 800 views.
On October 31st, 2024, when asked where they got the song from, the OP said they didn't remember, as they've been searching for it for over 10 years.[3]
On July 4th, 2025, the OP specified, and said they've been searching for the song since sometime before 2011.[4]
On November 10th, 2025, the OP responded to a comment by user Gomboach, asking for more information. They said "they passed it on to me many years ago"[5], but didn’t elaborate.
