Appreciation (also known as Thank You Very Much) is an almost solved experimental song. It’s most likely A.K.A.inc - Silkrilki, Silly (1994), but further evidence and full audio is needed.

Search History[]

The song was first posted to WatZatSong on August 23rd, 2021, by user Q1420. They gave it the placeholder name “Thank You, Very Much”, and said it was recorded off of the Lunatic Wax show on CKUT 90.3 FM, like most of their other songs.

In the replies, they said they couldn’t provide a longer snippet due to the cassette containing it taking a while to digitize. They also brought up the possibility of the artist being the same as another song they posted, but that was debunked after it was identified.

The full song was reposted to audio.com under the title "Obscure Canadian Track Off Lunadic Wax Show " by user Swishee Swoshee, along with another song that was theorized to be by the same artist, Could You Repeat That. At the end of the broadcast, the DJ said it was apart of a show only playing Canadian artists.

On July 20th, 2023, the OP reuploaded the song to their YouTube channel, this time giving it the placeholder title “Appreciation”. They said it was recorded off of the station in 1994. It was most likely recorded by their father as he recorded most of the other songs they posted.

On April 19th, 2025, the OP commented on user Clam Shell’s reupload of the song. They said they contacted a record label in Montreal, and they said the song was likely by A.K.A Inc on the cassette Lullabies/Luna Bites from 1994. They also said they were trying to get the album put on Bandcamp and that Could You Repeat That was a completely different artist.[1]

On July 6th, 2025, Discord user B&Y Studios brought up the possibility of the song being Silkrilki, Silly, as that is what it's likely saying in the lyrics. It was also discovered that on the record label’s Facebook page, there were videos of other cassettes that were eventually digitized and posted.

Theories[]

SRL Theory[]

On a comment under the video a user proposed that it could be by the band Survival Research Laboratories, as when compared both sound quite similar.
