On July 9th, 2024, YouTube user Nep L'Artificier uploaded a video to their channel titled "💿 𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐁𝐎𝐘 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 - 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐎𝐗 𝐕𝐎𝐋.𝟑" containing the unidentified song.
The video's description contained information about a project called "Digital Boy Project", but no information about the song itself, and Nep didn’t remember who made it.
On October 29th, 2024, WatZatSong user papillonne reposted the song to the site, asking who made it, linking to the original upload in the comments.
On January 28th, 2025, YouTube user Q reuploaded the track to her channel under the placeholder name of "Animal Love". The information about the song in the description read:
"Note that this Lyon Funk member slightly edits the audio by adding "strobe effects" & altering the pitch or speed".
Only two days later on January 30th, 2025, user brianfanoffans17 identified the song as "Animal Attraction" by Angelyne.
