Search History[]

On June 10th, 2023, user Kenny Cathead posted a one hour and 25 minute video titled “Unknown” to YouTube. It featured many snippets recorded off of the radio in the 1980s.

Seven days later, Kenny reposted the snippet to his WatZatSong account NY80sTapes, saying:

”Sounds like Gary Numan/Tubeway Army? 18 seconds - sorry that's all I have. I don't even know if there's singing."

At an unknown point in time, Mike Worst reuploaded the snippet to his YouTube channel.

On November 24th, 2023, on the FMM Discord thread for the songs he posted, Kenny said that he wasn’t the person who recorded the tapes, but instead a friend who was trying to make a sound collage, but he recorded a few things.

On October 4th, 2024, the song was identified by user Max Many Mix as "Angels" by Inner Landscapes.
