The song was posted to SpiritOfRadio on February 13th, 2009, by user bmuscotty, stating in the post’s replies:
“All I can say about this one is I came across it on a 10 inch reel of tape, in a box with the words "Angeline" written on it. The tape had a bunch of other songs electric drums and guitar. Sounds like a lost band? Would like if anyone has any info? Tape was purchased from an auction in New York.”
Multiple other songs posted by the OP on allthelyrics.com were identified, and the band behind multiple of the songs was a Dutch band called Windmill. They had a song from 1973 called Angeline, but the album was bought and song was posted in 2024, and it wasn’t the same song.
On November 5th, 2024, Discord user TSG managed to get in contact with the OP. They said they had sold the tape to someone on EBay and didn’t have the full recording of the song anymore, nor recordings of the other songs on the tape. They don’t remember who they sold it to and they don’t have any records either.
Presumed lyrics[]
On a sultry summer day
She’s bound to blow your mind
All the boys are looking close
But now she’s mine!
Everything a girl could ever say of love
Angeline has said it all, without a word, without a sound
Angeline, you’re my personal paradise
Angeline, all these feelings are oh, so right
Just a look is all it takes, from those angel eyes
