Amaneciendo (English: Dawning or At Dawn) is an unidentified cover of Amaneciendo by musician Adolfo Echeverria.

Search History[]

The song was posted to Reddit by user J T 2 3 on July 1st, 2022. For unknown reasons, the OP deleted their post and their Reddit account. The song was probably recorded onto a cassette tape off of a radio station in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).

Despite being recorded in Spain, the song is probably of Colombian origin due to the singer's accent and the original musician that made the song being Colombian.

On April 5th, 2024, the OP replied to a comment on the upload of Te Tengo Que Olvidar that asked where they got the cassette from, saying that all the songs they posted where recorded off of various radio stations by their grandmother.[1]

Lyrics[]

(Amaneciendo, amaneciendo).

¡A la gozadera! ¡Pum!

My friends, I'm going to introduce myself,
to serenade my sweetheart.
My friends, I'm going to introduce myself,
to play cumbia at the store.

It's her saint's day, my sweetheart's birthday today.
(At dawn, at dawn)
May the neighbors forgive me for this commotion.
(At dawn, at dawn).
Let them prepare a sancocho, let them kill four chickens.
(At dawn, at dawn).
I sing and dance with your sister, with your daughter-in-law, and with your cousin.
(At dawn, at dawn).

(At dawn, at dawn)
In your love here in my homeland, long live this land of mine.
(At dawn, at dawn)
It's her saint's day, today my sweetheart celebrates her birthday.
(At dawn, at dawn)

Let's have some fun! Boom!
