The song was featured in an Italian soccer series named "La Grande Storia del Milan" (English: "The Great History of Milan") which was released in 2005. The song can be heard during episode 7 in the opening scenes.
On January 21st, 2011, the full episode was posted to YouTube by user fizbong88. Another song by the same artist featured later on in the episode as well.
The first person to ask who the song was by was topicmd.com user moonspell23 on December 23rd, 2013.
A lead for the song came in December of 2023 after Reddit user slothereen found a song that matched in the SIAE database that was published by RAI (Italian public TV broadcaster). It was a song called "Colder" by Stefano Scarfone & Alessio Ventura.
Another Reddit user, Abject-Silver-3774 tried to get in contact with Ventura but was unsuccessful. However, they were able to contact Scarfone, who confirmed he was the producer of the song and it was made with RAI and Gazzetta dello Sport (which created the La Grande Storia del Milan series).
However, he said he didn't have the song with him currently. But he was able to give proof which was similar to the song in question as well as other works from Scarfone and Ventura. That said, the full version of the song is missing, so it can't be fully verified.
