The song originated from a YouTube video by Manis Studio that was posted on June 4th, 2019. Manis Studio is a bot account which posts Indonesian celebrity gossip videos that have included over a dozen other unidentified songs. As Manis Studio was a bot, it couldn’t provide any information about the songs.
On June 25th, 2019, Reddit user Sweguin found an upload by the channel, which included another formerly unidentified song called Memory Of You, after he used the website PetitTube, He posted the song to the r/NameThatSong subreddit, asking who made it.
2020s[]
Around 2021, it was discovered most of the songs were unreleased demos written and produced by Gary Miller after multiple copyright registries with titles that matched the lyrics were found. Despite Gary Miller confirming he wrote the songs, he didn’t remember who the singers were when he was contacted prior to his death in 2022.
A few songs posted by Manis Studio were eventually released by different artists, such as this one, a Spanish version was released in 2002 as Gisela - Soy Como Soy.
Multiple other songs featured in the videos were theorized to be by the same artist as this song due to the identical sounding vocals. Those songs were Just Wanna Be Free, Save Me, Right Time, It Only Hurts At Night, I Want Your Love, Some Of That, and Together Apart.
On December 8th, 2023, user MelNobody commented on Q’s reupload of the other formerly unidentified song called Love Liquid Therapy. They said they found an upload of the song crediting it to VHF Production Music. The channel also had an upload of Right Time, but the VHF Production Music channel had been deleted. [1]
2024[]
On February 29th, 2024, Discord user HyWhisper contacted musician Lauraine McIntosh, who had been discovered to have worked with Gary Miller, and she confirmed she was the singer of I Want Your Love and Right Time, but didn’t say anything about this song.
On May 18th, 2024, the song was identified by Steve Lee as All I’m Missing Is You by Lauraine McIntosh after he was also contacted by HyWhisper and confirmed the song, along with Save Me, were by her. He also confirmed he co-wrote the song along with Gary Miller and Mark Mueller.[2]
In early June of 2024, various other YouTube content farms were discovered that credited the song to VHF Production Music. VHF is a botnet that had bots plagiarize news articles and reupload family vlog videos. There were multiple other songs that were included in these other videos that weren’t featured in Manis Studio videos.
