追求 (English: Pursue or Pursuit) is an unidentified Chinese ballad song dating back to the 1990s. The song is from same period as "长相依" (English: "Long-term Dependence") and "杜十娘" (English: "Du Shiniang"), and is also said to be sung by Zhao Liyan.
The song was later covered likely by Taiwanese singer Timi Zhuo and mainland singer Liu Ziling. Due to the long time and the rampant piracy at the time, the information about the singers is mixed and cannot be verified.

On October 24th, 2022, Bilibili user 磁带爱好者 uploaded a video of a pirated tape called "Northeastern Good Songs Collection" ("东北好歌大集合"), in which the first song on the B side is "追求". Although the sound quality in the video is fuzzy and the background noise is high, you can still hear that the singer's voice is relatively soft. As 磁带爱好者 had left Bilibili in 2024, the original upload is reuploaded by other users.
Here's the quote from the original upload's comment:
"这磁带的歌曲都加快了，但是这个版的追求音乐软件上搜不到，别处也没找到，感觉这个更好听一些。"
"The songs on this tape have been sped up, but I can't find it on this version of the Pursuit music software, nor anywhere else. I feel this one sounds better."
On March 3rd, 2025, Wikidot user Thyj_w discovered the original source of the song, which was posted on Douyin by user "龙乡" on December 9th, 2022, before the upload by 磁带爱好者. Though the user attributed the song to Zhao Liyan, its actual singer remains to be identified. In addition, some of other users who posted comments on the video believed that the singer was Li Shu. However, in fact, the content of Li Shu's "追求" is different from the commonly used lyrics.
