“喵喵” (English: "Meow Meow", formerly known as "Meowsynth Madness") is a formerly unidentified instrumental synth-funk song by 何贤忠 (He Xianzhong), released around 2022.

Search History

2024

On July 26th, 2024, the song was uploaded alongside a video with an unknown origin on Twitter. The video was uploaded[1] by user "@ilovecatlovecar" and amassed over 223k views.

The song was later reuploaded[2] by another Twitter user named "@PostsOfCats" on August 30th, 2024 but recieved more attention, as it amassed over 1.7 million views.

A few weeks later, the song was posted onto the r/Lostwave subreddit on September 1st, 2024 by user "HypercloudPog". They stated they got the video from Twitter but they unfortunately didn't remember the original uploader.

Over time, the song was reuploaded to YouTube by several users, such as SpikeytheCactus, S2h, 𝑀𝑟. 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑝𝑠, AlianTheObscure, Q, and multiple others, amassing over 5k views.

2025

On April 22nd, 2025, the cat from the origin video was found[3] and the cat was named "餐餐". The video was originally from January 27th, 2024 and is from Douyin user "一般熊猫头"[4]. The song was still unidentified.

On November 4th, 2025, user BrokenHeartt found the full song on TikTok and posted it to YouTube. This went largely unnoticed until November 9th, when Discord user jigjello0873 found the video.

In the comments, user rocketballboi asked where BrokenHeartt had found the full song. BrokenHeartt then linked the TikTok audio containing the full song. The audio was tagged as “喵喵” by 何贤忠, but BrokenHeartt thought it was a misattribution.

However, more evidence was found that showed the tag was indeed correct, such as it being an official TikTok audio (rather than a user-uploaded one), the artist having a presence outside of TikTok/Douyin, and having made other songs that used the same synth.

The audio on TikTok also predated the search for the song by years, with some TikTok videos from 2022-2023 using the audio. The song was eventually considered identified as “喵喵” by 何贤忠.
